Distributed between Portugal and Spain, the facilities have a total of 37,000SQM and allow the management of 42,000 pallets, thus creating more than 70 new jobs.
These centres carry out different operations, including warehousing, order preparation, co-packing, warehouse management and support to the Luís Simões Group’s Iberian distribution network.

Luís Simões has expanded its logistics network with four new Logistics Operations Centres: three in Portugal (Algoz, Azambuja and Albergaria) and one in Spain (Barcelona).
In Portugal, Luís Simões expanded its activity in Azambuja, Vila Nova da Rainha, with a new platform of 20,000SQM and storage capacity of 24,600 pallets.
The company also opened a new warehouse in Albergaria, in the center of the country, with an area of 8.497SQM. This center allows the management of 9,287 pallets and has 11,520 storage box locations.
Further south, the Algoz platform has 4,060SQM of usage area and capacity to move 4,000 pallets. This center allows Luís Simões to be the ideal partner for distribution in the south of the country.
In Spain, the new center in Barcelona is dedicated to operations in the beverage sector and it has the capacity to store up to 5,000 pallets. Its strategic location in the Zona Franca Logistic Park favour’s proximity to the business outgrowth of the companies sector.
“In 2023, we had set the objective of continuing to increase our turnover and, to achieve this, it was essential to expand our operational network with newlogistics centres. We achieved our objective and the results exceeded all our expectations. Now, we have better conditions to be able to meet our customer needs, offering the excellence and service level they require“, explained Luís Freitas, Luís Simões Logístics General Manager.
